REALITIES

Essential parts of Porto Castelo are the realities, each has its own rules, mechanics and events.

When you leave a safe place you will be able to choose which reality you want to explore, but some events and actions you take can force the change to another reality.


Some of the realities are strongly connected and you can freely switch between them (as long as you are in a location that allows it).

ROOMS AND MAP

In Porto Castelo the scenarios are divided by rooms.


Initially they are in the form of FOG, but as soon as you enter the room for the first time it will be revealed and will be available permanently.

  • However, some rooms are able to appear.

  • If the condition is not met the FOG will not appear and you cannot enter the room.

ARENAS: they are specific to some realities and when entering one it presents its own rules and controls.

The 'SAFE AREAS' are the places where the group can rest, train and organize.

  • If the group is defeated they return to the last safe area.

  • You can travel between them using special items.

  • During the night each of the group members can use some skills to perform tasks to help with the group's recovery.

  • The group can finally have a moment to talk about the day or some topic.

REALITY: ISOMETRIC

In this reality, your vision will be from a specific point in the room you are in.

  • You should pay attention, as in some rooms from the point of view it is essential to show or hide things.

REALITY: 1ST PERSON

In this reality, you see through the character's vision.

  • Here the enemies as well as the characters will change their weapons to carry out attacks from a distance.

REALITY: 3RD PERSON

In this reality, the camera is positioned just behind the character, allowing you to see what happens around you.

  • Enemies come in greater numbers and the characters must use combos and area attacks to be able to defeat them.

REALITY: PLATFORM

In this reality, you have access to a special map in 2D format.


When starting a fight the room will be closed in an Arena, where the objective is to take down the enemies of the arena and prevent them from taking you down.

  • The less Stamina a unit has, the lighter it is and if it is hit by an ability with less than 5% Stamina the unit is expelled immediately.

  • Here the allies are not normally available.

REALITY: SHOOT'EM UP

In this reality the battles will take place in a special arena where you will have to survive for a few seconds while enemy ships appear to hit you.

REALITY: TURN

In this reality the battles will take place in a special arena where there will be an action bar above the screen.

  • When a unit icon finishes the first part, the unit defines its action

  • When the icon reaches the end, the unit performs the action.

  • The unit can be stopped by moving its icon back on the bar.

REALITY: TOWER OF DEFENSE

In this reality, battles take place in a special arena where you need to defend an object in the center of the room.

  • Enemies will come by pre-defined paths and you must prevent them from attacking the object in the center of the room.

  • You can attack or position towers and allies to help you with this task. We are a family owned and operated business.


The battle takes place in 2 stages:

  1. You can position the towers, allies and prepare your strategy. When everything is ready, interact with the Object in the center to start the battle.

  2. It is the battle itself, you must prevent enemies from attacking the center.

  • Whenever this stage begins, there is a chance that a challenge will occur together [like destructible blocks appear on the stage or a giant robot will stomp on the stage].

  • The final wave ALWAYS has the challenge.

PURIFICATION [IN DEVELOPMENT]

In this reality, the characters must come together to close anomalies.

You must solve puzzles, block passages and look for signs nearby so that Noah can know how to close the anomaly.

  • You will have a crate nearby where you can pick up items to help you discover the signs.

  • Noah's Vigor represents how much time he can contain. If the anomaly ends, it detonates.

KART [IN DEVELOPMENT]

In this reality, the Arena becomes a race track, where competitors can use special items to hinder others.
